Rain and thunderstorms expected in Southeast Texas
A late-summer cold front is set to move into Southeast Texas, increasing the likelihood of rain and isolated thunderstorms this weekend. While the storms are expected to be brief, areas in and south of Houston are most likely to experience heavy downpours and gusty winds. The arrival of the front will bring a slight decrease in afternoon temperatures, providing a welcome change. However, Houston can anticipate a warm start to meteorological fall, with mostly dry conditions expected by Labor Day.
