Thunderstorms to impact Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas
Clusters of thunderstorms are expected to sweep across southeastern Kansas into northeastern Oklahoma, southwestern Missouri, and northern Arkansas from Wednesday night into Thursday. These storms, fueled by abundant Gulf moisture, have the potential to produce significant rainfall, ranging from 1 to 4 inches in a short period. In some areas, a StormMax™ of up to 7 inches is possible, substantially increasing the risk of flash floods.
