This month, skywatchers can witness a rare alignment of six planets visible before sunrise. This planetary parade, the last of the year, allows observation of Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury without special equipment. Binoculars or a telescope will reveal Uranus and Neptune as well.
