A new tropical depression, designated Tropical Depression One-C, has formed far to the southeast of the Hawaiian Islands. As of the latest advisory issued by the NWS Central Pacific Hurricane Center at 11:00 PM HST on Saturday, July 26, 2025, the depression was located approximately 1085 miles (1745 km) southeast of Honolulu, Hawaii, positioned at 10.9 degrees North latitude and 145.6 degrees West longitude.
Westward movement expected; intensification into tropical storm
The tropical depression is currently moving westward at a speed of 12 mph (19 km/h). Forecasters anticipate this general westward movement to persist over the next couple of days.
