Intense heat burst creates chaos on coast
A rare and intense weather phenomenon, dubbed “Satan’s Storm,” recently swept across Spain’s southern coast, creating chaos and alarm among tourists. What is technically known as a heat burst, this event brought about a sudden and dramatic spike in temperatures, soaring above 100°F (approximately 38°C). The fierce winds, gusting up to 54 mph (about 87 km/h), whipped up sand and dust, reducing visibility and creating hazardous conditions for beachgoers.
