Cal Fire monitors blazes from lightning strikes
Northstate residents are on high alert as Cal Fire diligently monitors multiple blazes ignited by recent lightning strikes. Since Tuesday, the region has experienced approximately 16,000 lightning strikes, resulting in 11 fires in Butte County. Among these, the One-Four Fire near Camp Creek Road has been successfully contained. However, Cal Fire emphasizes that despite the clearing skies, the persistent hot and dry conditions pose a significant risk, potentially fueling the resurgence of smoldering fires.
