A tropical disturbance, identified as Invest 98L, is currently being monitored in the Gulf of Mexico as it approaches the southern Texas coastline. While the probability of Invest 98L developing into a more powerful storm system remains low, residents and visitors along the Gulf Coast should prepare for significant rainfall and hazardous rip currents.
