Midwest and Mid-Atlantic brace for record lows
The Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions are bracing for potentially record-breaking low temperatures this Wednesday. A persistent upper-level trough east of the Rockies is set to keep daytime temperatures near or below average across much of the United States, with the exception of the Northwest and Gulf Coast. Areas experiencing rainfall, particularly in Kansas and Arkansas from Wednesday to Thursday, and near Ohio on Friday, could see temperatures plummet more than 15 degrees below normal.
