CPC warns of increased cyclone formation risk
The Climate Prediction Center (CPC) has issued a warning regarding an increased risk of tropical cyclone formation in the Atlantic basin, commencing around September 17. Despite the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season typically occurring in late summer, the current season has been relatively subdued, marked by only one hurricane, Erin, which developed in August.
