Acadia National Park is often the first name that comes up when people think about Maine’s natural wonders. Known for its rugged shoreline, hiking trails, brilliant fall foliage, and the panoramic views from Cadillac Mountain, it draws huge crowds every year. But further inland, another destination has slowly been gaining recognition: Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument.
