According to CBS News, South Florida is unlikely to see snow due to dry conditions, but areas such as Tampa Bay may experience snow on Sunday. A band of snow is also moving south from west of Jacksonville; however, this is not related to the potential snowfall in Tampa. This rare event is due to a cold front sweeping across the state, which is predicted to lower temperatures enough to support snow flurries in some locations.
