Heavy rain in Los Angeles County led to a collision involving two FedEx trucks on the northbound 5 Freeway in Pacoima early Wednesday morning, around 3:45 a.m., just south of the 118 Freeway. One trailer split open, scattering packages and shutting down the freeway. The National Weather Service forecasts 4 to 7 inches of rain across Valley areas through Friday, creating hazardous driving conditions. The crash triggered a SigAlert, closing all northbound lanes and disrupting traffic on the 5, 118, and 405 Freeways.
