Heavy rain, flood risk for south-central Plains
The south-central Plains and Texas are bracing for a period of heavy rainfall and increased flood risk. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region, encompassing Texas and Oklahoma, due to a warm front and a developing surface low moving through the area. The most significant rainfall is anticipated to occur from Friday into Saturday as it interacts with moisture drawn from the western Gulf of Mexico.
