Wildfires devastate Nebraska, causing death and destruction
According to Governor Jim Pillen, wildfires raging over central and western Nebraska have tragically resulted in one death and the burning of an estimated 600,000 acres. The fires have had a devastating effect on numerous counties, including Morrill, Garden, Arthur, Keith, Lincoln, Dawson, Frontier, Thomas, Custer, Logan, Blaine, and Cherry. Governor Pillen called the circumstance "heart-wrenching" and stressed how crucial it is to abide by evacuation orders given by local authorities.
