Unusually high temperatures for late November
Record warmth continues to blanket the southern United States as a strong high-pressure system shifts eastward this week, bringing unusually high temperatures for late November. Texas and the Southern Plains have been experiencing temperatures 15–20° above average, setting new daily records and prompting concerns about the prolonged heat. While some areas, such as Oklahoma City, may find some relief with highs dropping into the 60s by Thursday, the overall trend indicates persistent warmth.
