On January 13, 2026, a Cessna Citation X slid approximately 300 yards off the runway at Telluride Regional Airport in Colorado after attempting to land in strong crosswinds. The incident damaged the aircraft's nose wheel, left wing, and left main landing gear. All three passengers were unharmed and safely exited the aircraft. The airport was temporarily closed for investigation and removal of the aircraft.
