Heavy snow and blizzard conditions expected
The Twin Cities are bracing for a significant winter storm that is expected to bring heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions to Minnesota and Wisconsin. The storm, anticipated to be one of the most severe of the season, has prompted Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to authorize the National Guard for emergency operations. Snowfall rates are predicted to be between 1 to 3 inches per hour, with total accumulations of 12 to 18 inches expected in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Some areas in Wisconsin may see over 18 inches of snow.
