Record February temperatures have been observed in northern Spain and southwestern France, exceeding historical averages significantly.

These extreme temperatures raise concerns about climate change impacts, potentially disrupting agricultural cycles and water resources.
Unseasonable heat breaks records in Spain, France
Unseasonably high temperatures have broken February records in northern Spain and southwestern France. Cities like Bilbao and San Sebastián experienced temperatures exceeding 27°C, more than 13°C above average. The highest temperature was recorded in Saint Gladie, reaching nearly 30°C, a remarkable 16°C above the norm. This warmth is due to a high-pressure system over central Europe, drawing warm southerly winds and enhanced by the Föhn effect.
