Severe weather causes hazardous travel in Nebraska
Nebraska is currently grappling with severe weather, marked by intermittent whiteout conditions that have rendered travel extremely hazardous. A major multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 80 westbound, near mile marker 435, has prompted the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) to close the affected section of the highway. The Cass County Sheriff's Office has reported that an emergency vehicle was struck while responding to the crash, underscoring the perilous conditions. Four individuals sustained injuries in the incident, with two being treated and released, and the remaining two listed in fair condition.
