Winter storm causes travel disruptions in NC
Western North Carolina is grappling with significant travel disruptions as a winter storm blankets the region with snow and ice. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) reports that primary roads in several counties, including Macon, Rutherford, Burke, Swain, Graham, and Jackson, are significantly impacted by the icy conditions. Interstates in Burke County are partially covered, with some other counties reporting interstate conditions as completely impassable.
