Las Vegas rain subsides before Formula 1 race
Las Vegas endured days of heavy rain and flash flooding, but the forecast is improving just in time for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend. The city saw nearly an inch of rain between Tuesday and Wednesday, which is triple the average rainfall for the entire month of November. This downpour led to significant runoff and hazardous track conditions, causing disruptions during early practice sessions. A loose manhole cover further complicated matters, halting Thursday’s run.
