After years of below-average snowfall, the Northern Tier is witnessing an exceptionally snowy beginning to the season, with some areas reporting over 400% above normal snowfall. Cities in the Midwest and Ohio Valley, including South Bend, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati, are significantly exceeding their average snowfall amounts. Syracuse is also approaching double its typical snowfall for this time of year.
