Suburban Propane Partners, L.P. reported its first quarter results for fiscal 2026, highlighting significant weather-related impacts on propane demand. The company noted that average temperatures across its service territories were 6% warmer than normal, yet 6% cooler than the previous year. In the East, temperatures were in line with normal but 12% cooler than the prior year, while the West experienced temperatures 24% warmer than normal and 11% warmer than the previous year. These variations influenced propane sales, with colder temperatures in the eastern U.S. driving a 4.2% increase in retail propane gallons sold compared to the prior year. The company also made strategic acquisitions in California and progressed on renewable natural gas projects, contributing to a 10.8% improvement in Adjusted EBITDA.
