A tropical wave south of the Cabo Verde Islands is moving west-northwest across the Atlantic Ocean at 10 to 15 mph. The system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Current meteorological assessments suggest atmospheric conditions may become favorable for gradual development over the next several days. However, the wave is presently poorly organized.
