Today, the Arklatex region is under threat of flash floods and severe storms as a developing low-pressure system over the Plains draws moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. This influx of moisture is expected to fuel robust thunderstorms and heavy downpours across the region. Areas in the Texas Hill Country, already saturated from recent rainfall, face the highest risk of flash flooding.
