Explosive storm threatens Carolinas, Mid-Atlantic states
An explosive nor’easter is poised to rapidly intensify off the East Coast this weekend, threatening the Carolinas and portions of the Mid-Atlantic with heavy snow, hurricane-force gusts, and significant coastal flooding. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for approximately 20 million individuals, encompassing all of North Carolina, much of South Carolina, southern Virginia, eastern Tennessee, and parts of North Georgia. North Carolina has already declared a State of Emergency in anticipation of the severe weather.
