Oklahoma residents have a unique opportunity this week to see the aurora borealis, or Northern Lights, due to a moderate geomagnetic storm watch from NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center. A coronal mass ejection from the sun might make the aurora visible as far south as Oklahoma, which is rare.
