Central, northern NH brace for significant snowfall
Central and northern New Hampshire are bracing for a significant snowfall event starting Sunday morning. Areas from Sunup to Laconia, stretching towards Wakefield, Ossipee, Plymouth, and the Mount Washington Valley, are expected to receive between 3 to 6 inches of snow. The snowfall may be heavier in higher elevations, potentially reaching up to a foot. Southern New Hampshire will see the first flakes before sunrise, transitioning to rain by noon, which will reduce snow accumulation. The colder temperatures than initially forecasted could extend the period of wet, accumulating snow. Snow showers may persist into Monday, particularly in higher elevations, but with limited additional accumulation. This follows recent snow in northern areas, adding to the wintery conditions.
