Cincinnati and the surrounding Tri-State area are experiencing a historic winter storm, with significant snowfall and dangerously cold temperatures. The storm began with light snow and intensified, leading to widespread accumulations exceeding 10 inches in many areas. Notably, Batesville recorded 12.9 inches, while Middletown saw 11 inches. The storm is expected to continue through Sunday, with an additional 2-3 inches of snow possible before tapering off in the evening. Winds of 10 to 15 mph, with higher gusts, are causing blowing snow, complicating travel conditions. Bitter cold will follow, with wind chills dropping to minus 5 to minus 10 Sunday night into Monday, and potentially reaching minus 15 or colder Monday night into Tuesday morning.
