Dangerous fire conditions due to strong winds, dry air
Strong winds and extremely dry air are creating dangerous fire conditions across Virginia and north-central North Carolina today. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning, effective from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, covering a large portion of central, western, and southwest Virginia, as well as several counties in North Carolina.
