Flight Disruptions Continue as Snowstorms Move East

Widespread flight cancellations and delays are occurring across the US due to severe snowstorms moving eastward.

Freeze alerts are in effect for 42 million people from central Texas to coastal South Carolina, with additional snow expected in the Great Lakes and Appalachians.
Severe weather causes flight cancellations and delays
Severe weather conditions across the United States have led to widespread flight cancellations and delays. Chicago O'Hare International Airport, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and LaGuardia Airport in New York City have been particularly affected, with hundreds of flights canceled at each location. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has implemented ground stops at Hartsfield-Jackson and Charlotte Douglas International Airport, as well as ground delays at JFK and Newark Liberty International Airport, to ensure passenger and crew safety.
