NWS Issues Beach Hazards Alert As Narda Swell Hits SoCal

NWS has issued a beach hazards statement for Southern California beaches due to Hurricane Narda's swell.
Elevated surf of 4–6 feet, with max sets to 7 feet, will cause dangerous rip currents and shallow coastal flooding.
Swimmers are advised to stay near lifeguards and avoid rocks and boats to minimize drowning risk.

The National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a beach hazards statement for several Southern California beaches, including Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands, Ventura County, Malibu, and Los Angeles beaches. This alert is in effect through Wednesday at 6 p.m. due to the expected impact of Hurricane Narda's swell.
