Heavy snowfall expected to blanket Pittsburgh region
The Pittsburgh region is preparing for a substantial winter storm anticipated to bring heavy snowfall this weekend. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the area could receive between 8 to 12 inches of snow, affecting much of southwestern Pennsylvania, including the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The storm is fueled by two low-pressure systems, one traversing the Deep South and another along the Atlantic coast.
