Tropical Storm Melissa forms south of Haiti
Tropical Storm Melissa, the thirteenth named storm of the season, has formed in the central Caribbean Sea, approximately 300 miles south of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. According to the latest weather reports, Melissa is moving westward at 14 mph, packing winds of up to 50 mph. Forecasters predict that Melissa will continue to strengthen as it approaches southwestern Haiti and Jamaica later this week.
