Four hikers tragically died in an avalanche in the Vardousia Mountains of central Greece. The group, consisting of three men and one woman, went missing on Christmas Day and were found on Friday evening following a large search. They were discovered buried under snow on a steep slope near the Korakas peak, at approximately 2,000 meters (6,561 feet).
