Wildfire impacts multiple Central California counties
A significant wildfire, known as the TCU September Lightning Complex, continues to burn across Central California, impacting Calaveras, Tuolumne, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus counties. As of the latest reports, the blaze has scorched nearly 14,000 acres and is 51% contained. The fires were sparked by lightning strikes, resulting in multiple individual fires that have merged into a larger complex. Among these, the 6-5 Fire is the most substantial, having burned 7,037 acres and is 25% contained. The 2-2 Fire, which consumed 3,462 acres, is now fully contained, while the 2-7 Fire has burned 606 acres and is 50% contained.
