Five years following the devastating winter storm of 2021 that caused widespread power outages across Texas, substantial enhancements have been made to the state's power grid. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has introduced updated weatherization protocols for power plants and gas facilities, ensuring they can endure severe winter conditions. Furthermore, Texas has augmented its energy resources by incorporating over 40,000 megawatts of power and boosting renewable energy production.
