Hazardous winter weather headed for northern Plains
A fast-moving clipper system is set to impact the northern Plains this Tuesday, bringing a mix of hazardous winter weather conditions. Areas north of the storm's path will experience snow, while regions to the south can expect a mix of rain, snow, and ice, creating treacherous travel conditions. By Wednesday, the system will move into the Great Lakes and Northeast, potentially dropping 3–6 inches of snow from North Dakota to Vermont. Some areas, particularly in Wisconsin and Michigan, could see up to 12 inches of snowfall.
