A frost advisory has been issued for numerous counties in central Alabama, including Barbour, Bullock, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, Randolph, Russell, St. Clair, Talladega, and Tallapoosa. The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures to plummet to as low as 35°F (1.7°C), creating optimal conditions for frost formation. This advisory will be in effect from 1 AM to 8 AM CDT on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
