Due to severe flooding, evacuation orders have been issued in Hawaii for more than 5,500 people living north of Honolulu, particularly in the Haleiwa and Waialua districts. The heavy rains have caused widespread flooding, damaging homes and washing away cars. Officials are worried about the possible failure of the 120-year-old Wahiawa dam, which poses a serious threat to areas downstream.
