Rainfall boosts soybean crop prospects in Argentina
Recent rainfall across central and northern Argentina has notably improved the prospects for the 2025/2026 soybean crop, according to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange. The area now benefiting from optimal to adequate water conditions has risen to 66%, marking a significant 10 percentage point increase from the previous week. This improvement is vital for Argentina, a major exporter of soybean oil and meal, especially after higher-than-normal temperatures and scarce rainfall in January had put considerable strain on crops throughout the country's key agricultural regions.
