Erie County, New York, is preparing for a major winter storm, leading to a Travel Advisory being implemented. Erie County Deputy County Executive Lisa Chimera and Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan announced the advisory at a Buffalo news conference, stressing the potential impacts of the storm expected to affect the region through Wednesday. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for several counties, including Niagara, Northern Erie, Orleans, and Genesee, effective until Wednesday afternoon. Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Wyoming, and Southern Erie counties are also under the same warning from Monday morning through Wednesday afternoon.
