Back-to-back storms bring snow, prolong winter
Successive clipper storms are set to cover the Midwest and Northeast with snow, extending a consistent winter weather pattern caused by frigid Arctic air moving from central Canada. As the prior storm fades away early Sunday, a fresh weather system will quickly follow, spreading light snow over a wide area and heavier snow near the Great Lakes.
