Solar flare causes potential geomagnetic storm
A major solar flare erupted on Sunday, sending a coronal mass ejection (CME) hurtling towards Earth. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center, the CME is expected to arrive by Tuesday, potentially sparking minor to moderate geomagnetic storms. There's even a slight chance of a stronger G3-level geomagnetic storm late Tuesday into early Wednesday.
