A tropical wave located approximately 150 miles south of Guatemala is currently producing scattered showers and thunderstorms. This weather system, in conjunction with Kiko, is being closely monitored for potential development. According to the latest forecasts, conditions are favorable for the formation of a tropical depression. There is a 30% chance of formation within the next 48 hours and an 80% chance over the next seven days as the system moves west-northwest, offshore from the southern and southwestern coasts of Mexico.
