Tamarack transforms fire-affected land into skiable terrain
The Rock Wildfire, ignited by lightning in mid-August, consumed over 2,000 acres across Idaho and Montana, posing a significant threat to Idaho’s Tamarack Ski Resort and leading to its temporary shutdown. In a remarkable display of resilience, the resort is now transforming approximately 50–60 acres of the fire-affected land into new skiable terrain.
