Colorado residents urged to stay indoors now
Residents of Colorado are being strongly encouraged to remain indoors following an air quality health advisory issued by the National Weather Service. This advisory covers several areas in south central Colorado, notably Fremont County, including Penrose, Fremont, and Canon City, due to significant smoke from the ongoing 24 Fire. The wildfire, which began last week, has already burned over 7,300 acres, resulting in the closure of Highway 115 and posing a substantial health risk to millions.
