Washington D.C. is experiencing a chilly start to the new year, following a colder-than-usual December. The Capital Weather Gang reported early morning snow showers between 4 and 6 a.m. that reduced visibility and left a light dusting of snow, especially northwest of the city. A snow squall warning was issued for Montgomery and Loudoun counties from 4:30 to 5:30 a.m.
