Typhoon Kalmaegi brings death and destruction
Typhoon Kalmaegi recently struck central Vietnam, resulting in at least five fatalities and widespread devastation. The storm brought severe flooding, significant destruction, and extensive power outages, compounding the challenges faced by local communities. Prior to impacting Vietnam, Kalmaegi wreaked havoc in the Philippines, leaving a tragic toll of at least 188 dead and 135 missing. Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos were displaced from their homes, grappling with the aftermath of flash floods and landslides.
