Much of the eastern and central United States are currently experiencing cooler-than-normal temperatures, a trend expected to persist into midweek. A significant cold front originating from Canada is driving this change, introducing a much colder air mass into the northern Plains and Midwest regions between Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures in these areas are predicted to be 15–25 degrees below the seasonal average.
